Expo 2020 Dubai: Call for Registration of Speakers for the World Majlis sessions
Mauritius is participating in the prestigious Expo 2020 Dubai which will be held from 20th October 2020 to 10th April 2021. The World Expo 2020 themed “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future’’ is expected to attract around 25 million visitors and see the participation of over 190 countries.
The sub-themes namely “Sustainability, Mobility and Opportunity” are based on the orientation and vision which will shape the future of the world and will act as the pillars driving the Expo 2020.
The World Majlis Sessions is the Expo 2020 signature platform for "Connecting Minds" by engaging a set of dynamic conversations with the objective to gather global viewpoints on contemporary matters involving people, technology, the planet and cities.
The World Majlis sessions will offer speakers a vibrant platform for dialogue among thought-leaders, visionaries, change makers and university students. The ambition is to generate new perspectives and nurture meaningful connections between people and new ideas with an aim of connecting minds to create the future together.
In the margin of this international show, the Economic Development Board is inviting industry experts, thought leaders, visionaries, university students to register their interests for participation as speaker in any of the thematic sessions which will take place at the Expo 2020 Dubai from November 2020 and March 2021 in Dubai.
This international Expo offers a powerful stage to share your views and gain insights into topics of global relevance. Speakers will also have the opportunity to network with international peers and visit the Mauritius pavilion located in the "Opportunity district" next to the Al Wasl Plaza. The Mauritius pavilion is designed under the theme ‘’Roots of the Future’’, symbolizing Mauritius’ unique history, diverse culture and vibrant economy.

Terms & Conditions
- Speakers should hold recognized record of remarkable achievement, substantial leadership experience in the selected topic.
- Speakers will be required to finance their travel, accommodation and transport fee.
- Speakers should make their own travel arrangements.
- Participation as speakers will not involve any speaker fees.
- Next Gen participants is opened to students aged between 14-17 years old.
- The organization reserves the right not to retain any proposal following this exercise.
