Foire Agro Commercial and Industrial Maputo (FACIM 2019), 26th Aug-1st Sept 2019, Mozambique

In line with Government’s policies of market diversification and regional integration, the Economic Development Board (EDB) is organising the participation of local companies in the forthcoming edition of Foire Agro Commercial and Industrial Maputo (FACIM 2019) that shall be held from Monday 26th to Sunday 1st September 2019 at Marracuene (outside Maputo City), Mozambique.

FACIM is a multi-sectoral Trade Fair organized by Institute for Support to Export (IPEX) and aims to facilitate contacts with international exhibitors/visitors and stimulate consumption and economic integration in the Mozambican economy.

Since 2012, the trade fair has been relocated to Marracuene, a municipal area outside Maputo city. The shifting of the event to Marracuene and the new administration has led to new provinces exhibiting their products and gathered keen interest from private sector operators to participate.

A former Portuguese colony, the Republic of Mozambique is strategically located in Southern Africa, bordering the United Republic of Tanzania, the Republic of Malawi, the Republic of Zambia, the Republic of Zimbabwe, the Republic of South Africa and the Kingdom of Swaziland. The country is endowed with many resources such as arable land, water, energy, gas and mineral resources, deep seaports and a relatively large potential pool of labour.

Mozambique witnesses 70% of SADC goods which transit through the three principal ports, namely Maputo, Beira and Nacala, which in turn, act as the links to regional markets such as Zimbabwe, Zambia and Malawi.
